Getting started
What a Voksha agent is, what you need before you start, and the order to do things in.
A Voksha agent answers your phone. It talks to the caller, books appointments in your diary, and saves a recording, a transcript and a summary of every call.
The setup wizard is eight steps and takes about three minutes.

What you need
| Thing | Why | Required |
|---|---|---|
| Ten quiet minutes | Your setup answers become what the agent says | Yes |
| Your website address | Voksha reads it and fills in your services and hours for you | No |
| A card | To pay for the plan. Your first two test calls are free | Before you go live |
| Calendar or booking login | Only if you want the agent to book appointments | No, add it later |
You do not need a developer. You do not need an API key. There is nothing to install.
The order to do it in
- Create an agent — tell Voksha about your business
- Choose a plan — one plan for each agent
- Get a phone number — Voksha buys it and sets it up
- Make a test call — free, twice, before you spend anything
- Go live — send your real number to the agent
After setup
Voksha now does the setup work in the background. It buys the number, creates the voice agent, and saves its instructions. This usually takes a couple of minutes. The page shows you which step it is on.
UK numbers take about one working day. A +44 landline needs a check by Twilio and Ofcom first. Your agent waits at "awaiting regulatory approval" and carries on by itself once the check is done. Nothing is lost. You do not need to start again.
